Resection of inferior vena cava leiomyosarcoma and reconstruction using ProxiCor patch

Introduction Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) of the inferior vena cava (IVC) is a rare mesenchymal tumor originating from endothelial smooth muscle intima and account for about 1-2% all sarcomas soft tissue. The objective this article to show case IVC leiomyosarcoma, it?s resection reconstruction using ProxiCor. Case outlines We showed 65-year-old woman presented with abdominal pain mass in subhepatic space, who underwent surgery leiomyosarcoma IVC. was reconstructed ProxiCor patch, patohistology confirmed that it leiomyosarcoma. Conclusion Our experience has shown application extracellular matrix (ECM) safe given satisfactory treatment result. A comparison much larger number patients will give true picture advantages disadvantages type material vascular reconstructive procedures.
